In Dalat

Ok..I am tired now but so proud I made it. I had a 19 hours bus trip from Hoi An (Cetral Vietnam) to Dalat (The south, mainland). After this long trip I didn't really want to walk around and find an hotel so I accepted the deal I was offered  in front of the bus station.. 8 dollars per night.

This small city is situated on the mainland, close to the mountains. The weather is so different than all the other places I've been so far in Vietnam. It's kind of chilly, and after more than a month I will have to get out of my backpack long trousers and trainers ( I will miss my havaianas for couple of days). The locals..as many little towns in south Vietnam, are really friendly..even if their English is not so good ( all they can ask you is where you come from..then the conversation end). My plan was to find a Easy Rider and paying a day tour around the countryside with him. I had someone in my mind, a friend's recommendation..but as I couldn't reach him by phone I met a fantastic guy at my hotel that not only offered me a good price but showed me all the good feedback on FB and Couchsurfing websites. So I said...let's just do it. Tomorrow I will be an Easy Rider for a day ( I mean..he is..I will be just on the back of the motorbike enjoying my day).

I will upload many pictures dear followers.
My trip down Vietnam is almost done.. I will be in Saigon by the weekend.

Lots of  love,
Andrea

Hoi An

Hoi An ís a little town in Central Vietnam..and I've finally found what I was looking for. A relaxed, friendly place that ís hard to leave behind. I rented a bike today and cycle around the city centre. The weather ís glorious  and I am about to go to the beach. I could definitely stay couple of more nights here but I must keep travelling south.I am half way in this adventure and hundred of other places are waiting to be discovered.

I will upload pictures tomorrow my friends.
Peace

Hue to Hoi An

I just got to Hue, central Vietnam this morning after 13 hours bus route. Visited the city this afternoon and moving again tomorrow to Hoi An to spend 2/3 nights before going south. Speak soon my friends. Cheers

Perfume Pagoda and Ha Long Bay

Ok my friends, those are the pictures of my 3 day trip outside Hanoi. I went to see a group of pagodas up to the mountains and then straight to the famous Ha Long Bay and slept in a old dodgy boat overnight. A spiritual experience in the Pagoda and amazing UNESCO world heritage in Ha Long Bay.

Ha noi, Vietnam

At first, I had a bad impression. Was raining a lot and a big storm was approaching the city. Anyway, I started to walk around the wet busy street of the old quarter and smell the food coming from every corner. I sat down in a tiny busy street to have a chicken soup and somehow manage to communicate by sign with some locals. The weather was still bad and pouring down. At dinner I had some wonderful food in a local restaurant and started to met some other travellers. And for the first time, I felt like I am lonely traveller that can make his own decision. Finally on the second day the rain stop and the city came alive with all the wonderful smiles on everyone's face..thousands of scooter singing in the busy city center, flowers and smoke coming out the tiny alleys off the main road. The heart of Hanoi started to pulse and made me feel part of it. What an experience, what a wonderful life.
